Supportive Shoes

Very happy with these shoes. They have excellent ankle support. However, after I walk a few km my feet get sore and I have to switch shoes. I'm a letter carrier and walk several km each work day on various terrain.

Lightweight waterproof hikers

I've been a fan of Merrell hiking shoes and boots for several years because they fit well. The Siren Edge 3 are super lightweight hiking shoes that provide some ankle support, good traction in dry or muddy conditions, and keep my feet dry all day so I don't get blisters or cold feet. I have plantar fasciitis and get sore feet when I wear ill-fitting shoes, but had no issues with these shoes (though I would wear stiffer boots for backpacking due to the amount of weight being carried). I recommend these hiking shoes for dayhiking when you want to travel fast and light.

Stylish, Superb Hiking Boots

These boots are amazing. They're so light that I wondered when I picked them up whether there were actually 2 boots in the box! And so comfortable that on my first day with them, I did a 12 km hike over some pretty unstable terrain, and had NO problem. My feet were as comfortable when I got home as they were when I left for the hike.
When I put the boots on, they felt different from other boots, and Merrell does say that the boot was designed for a woman's foot - I'm still not sure that that means, but when I first had them on, I wasn't really sure how they'd work. 20 minutes later, it felt as if my heel was being cupped and cushioned, my ankle was well supported, and the toe box comfortable and roomy from start to finish.
These are awesome boots, and I've recommended them to a number of friends already!
