Awesome ultralight midlayer

Amazing mid-layer. Super lightweight for the warmth you get from it. Octa/Airmesh is awesome! Extremely breathable so perfect for high output activities or starting out on a hike first thing in the morning, but can also be used as a static layer under a wind shell at camp or on a rest. Also a good warm sleep layer that moves moisture efficiently. Haven't had any issues with durability at all. I have 3 of these hoodies and they are still going strong after several years of near daily wear. Fit is a little awkward through the body as it has a shorter torso length so I had the size up resulting in it being a bit baggy. Logo will wear off over time due to the surface of the fabric, but the hoodie is still more than functional. Definitely worth picking up as an insulating layer if you pack light for the trail. Better than Alpha fabric in my opinion.

fragile fleece don't waste your money

I bought this hoodie this week and took it out for its first trail run today. It is warm and breathable which was great for unseasonably warm February weather in the Rockies. Unfortunately, this product is not intended for use in the mountains. The sleeve tore substantially after 4 km of use after getting caught on a twig. Would not recommend for use in the mountains as it cannot be depended on to keep you warm and stay in one piece. I think this would be great for winter road running perhaps but for some reason is marketed as a mountain product.
