Mountain Hardwear Women's Polartec® High Loft® Jacket

I am pleased to have received a replacement for my original Monkey Fleece however I am dubious about the quality compared to the original - the fleece is not as good quality, I hope it wears well. The arms are longer and wider at the wrist and need adjusting, the seam is now on the lower part of the arm rather than on the top which was a feature of the original. The neck is a nice snugger fit. The jacket is slightly longer than the original which is good. It is lighter than the original which is probably a combination of thinner fleece and lighter weight fabric and seams are not french seams so not as reinforced. Detail just seems to have slipped. I will keep it but feel a bit disappointed at this price point because I LOVED the original jacket!

Not the quality expected of Mountain Hardwear. I have owned a few « Monkey fleece » jackets over the last two decades. The previous versions were thicker, had quality zippers and quality pockets’ fabric. With this version, the zipper is flimsy and the « screen like » pocket fabric seems rather delicate. I still have a Monkey fleece I bought over 10 years ago that I had been wearing almost every day and I reach for that old one instead of my new one. Mountain Hardwear, please bring back quality fabrics and design in the Monkey fleece!
