I took 2 of the 3.9 oz fuel canisters on a 3 day camping trip to colorado where approximately half of my meals were cooked using the canister and sometimes used to cook for two. After the end of the trip I ended up measuring the one canister I used assuming that it would be nearly empty and I found that it was still over half way full. Definitely surprised and very impressed by the longevity and efficiency of this fuel source.

Worked in freezing temperatures

I was backpacking at Crater Lake, Oregon. The temperature dropped into low 20Fs. My footwear failed and I needed to get some hot broth into me to get my temperature up. I was using a Gigapower as the retailer told me they were equivalent a few years back when there was a slight difference in price with MSR being more expensive (less than a dollar). My friend had the MSR canister. I've used Gigapower for the last couple of years in hot and near freezing temperatures and not had any problem. However, in the low 20Fs, my fuel would not stay lit. So, for dinner and breakfast, we had to rely on my friend's MSR fuel.

Long lasting

This summer my wife and I traveled in our minivan ( camper van ) from Ontario to the Yukon. On the trip we lived out of our van for three weeks. Every morning I made coffee and then oat meal using the MSR pocket rocket with the IsoPro fuel. I brought two large fuel containers, After two weeks I realized I only need to bring one. I still had enough fuel to make coffee on two over night camping trips later on in the year. Great Product.

Best combustion

It's a little more expensive than other brands but it functions much better, especially in cold conditions and/or high altitude. I use these cartriges every time I need the most reliable and efficien in every conditions.

I have tried several brands of gas and prefer MSR gas. While I have not done a scientific comparison to others, this guy seems to last longer and burn cleaner.

The best Canister Fuel

I have tried various brands of canister fuel with various canister stoves. MSR IsoPro keeps going strong with consistent heat at lower temperatures and with lower pressure where other fuels would be sputtering and inefficient. With my Pocket Rocket attached to the top, it's the perfect combination for a trailside tea.
