    Great Maine Snowshoe

I live in Maine and pack fatbiking trails in the winter. We get all sorts of different snow conditions… Sometimes deep powder others crusty snow and ice and these handled it all. Great traction and float even on quick steep climbs. They really are lightweight and I find by the bindings the best I have had in a snow shoe. I pull a tire to pack trails and these bindings hold tight throughout the whole outing. I will buy again and recommend to all.

I was lucky enough to receive these snowshoes as a tester for MSR. I've used them over 45 days since then. I can tell you that these are the snowshoes to get, especially for all terrain conditions - great grip, great sidehilling!

MSR sent me a pre-production pair for field testing and they performed well. I use them for walking the dogs during the winter. Mostly rolling terrain, we a few short steeper sections. Traction was great no sliding back or skiing down. Lightweight and easy to take on and off. I would definitely recommend.

Great light snow shoe. Nice, narrow and not clumsy. Wish they had heal lifts for this price point. Would recommend the 22” for anyone 5’ 9” - 165 lbs and under. Our family prefers the shorter snow shoe. All round very good.

    Great snowshoes for everyday use

I bought my Lightning Trail 25s for use on established trails where my Lightning Ascent 30s are overkill. They're also perfect for off-trail hikes on late-season compacted snow, I'm quite a bit heavier than their weight rating but don't sink excessively in anything but powder. The bindings are simple, easy to get into and out of, and hold the 'shoes very securely on your feet. MSR snowshoes are known for traction and these are no exception, letting you enjoy the landscape around you instead of watching where you place your feet. The extreme light weight lets me do a few miles after work every day without being tired by the time Saturday rolls around for the punishing weekly hike with my snowshoeing partner. MSR snowshoes are top of the line, and I recommend them without reservation.

Super light, can barely tell they are on your feet. Grip right on everything and skinny enough so you don't bump them together. The reason for 4 stars, the bindings. I have to put at least one strap back on at some point during my hikes. They are positioned great but the hook that goes into the strap hole is not long enough. MSR, SPEND THE MONEY AND GET BOA!!!!

I have had these for 2 seasons now and they are the best snowshoes I've ever owned. I've taken them all over, from The rolling hills in my backyard on dog walks to 12,300' on Denali. They are super stable on steep hard pack as well as light fluffy snow! The only issue i have is with the bindings. The rear strap often comes undone. The metal pin that retains the strap in place just doesn't seem log enough to do its job. The second issue, is that one of the toe crampons (attached to the binding) just broke off, like completed sheared off. Is it possible to order a replacement binding?

I did not like how the back strap hooked, it was very hard to get it to stay in the hole.
