    Excellent on icy slopes

Excellent grip on icy slopes while simultaneously good flotation in the deeper snow. Easy on and off.

I have used these almost every weekend during winter for 3 years, and I love them. I live in Western Colorado, and have tested these to their limit. The only issue I am having is that the springs on my bindings tend to pop out, which can make tightening my straps on the trail kinda tricky. This started happening after year 2 of use. However, I can say that the ratchet function is the single best thing about these, and it makes them stand out from the competition. I do a lot of backcountry snowshoeing in deep snow, uphill, downhill, over trees, whatever you can imagine. I just really like snowshoeing, okay?? Lol. Anyway, these have held up miraculously well, and outperformed every other snowshoe that my friends wore during our adventures. They all use the traditional strap system, and their shoes simply won't stay on. In deep snow, the snow pushes their straps off the hook, or the snow packs in between the shoe and the strap, or the strap breaks. Not so with these. The straps fall off maybe once a month, in seriously weird conditions. I cannot say enough how much I love these! As a short female, though, I look forward to upgrading this year into the women's version so that I can try out that narrower stride. I do often step on my own shoes because I am very smol. Other than the buckle spring and my own extreme smolness, there is nothing I would do to change these shoes. I would recommend to anyone who wants to go off of a groomed trail.

These things are amazing! I don't understand the reviews about the bindings and their comfort. They are SUPER easy to use, and super comfortable. It might have a lot to do with what shoes you use. But they appear well built, and they float great in the snow. And the grip...oh the grip! It's literally like having a CJ on each foot. I can get in places that I never dared on foot alone, and they are quick to strap on and light to carry in--a great purchase.

After a full season of heavy use I love these things. Crazy light, easy to strap on, keeps you afloat. Can't go wrong. :)

Great construction, climbing performance, durability, and weight. I've put these through a lot of different outings this year, and they're holding up very well. The built in step is a life saver if you're hiking uphill for multiple hours. I'd highly recommend these for a go to snowshoe

These shoes are a lot of fun. I work as a part time Snowshoe guide and getting these shoes was a game changer. The bindings are really secure, easy and fast to put on. The shoes themselves are fast! I think that's the best way to describe these shoes. They are fast on the uphill, fast on the downhill and fun to use. I haven't had any issues after a season of constant use in Utah

I have the 2015/16 version of this snowshoe but it is almost identical to the current ones. I have now used it on 2 snowshoe trips and a handful of other day hikes. For the snowshoe trips I have used this with a total weight (myself and my pack) of around 210lbs without tails and the shoes have performed great! My favourites parts of these are the ""Ergo Televators"" aka the metal thing you push up so that you can climb upwards without tiring yourself out. I had to use them for a long uphill portion on my last trip and they made a huge difference.
