Great fit for my MSR Freelite 2!

The Universal Footprint fit my new Freelite 2 tent perfectly (that tent is awesome too btw). I think I read other reviews that complained about the lack of gromets, but I didn't find this to be a problem at all - the cords in the corners allowed me to easily stake down the tent and footprint at the same time. I did cut off the attached sleeve that the footprint came in to reduce weight, bulk, and the hassle of trying to get it back in neatly - it works fine without it.

It’s a tent footprint, can’t go wrong. Don’t understand the whining about lack of grommets. Sure, independent setup would be a little easier if there were matching tabs to clip to the poles, but do what we did - tie it permanently to the tent. Everything still fits in the bag and you don’t have to attach it separately each time - it’s already attached to the tent. Just roll out the tent and you’re done. 60+ setups over 3 years with our Zoic 4, works great.

I've got the MSR Front Ranger tent which is top notch, I also got a ground sheet for it recently which feels really well made (as with all MSR gear) I just wondered if there were any elegant solutions for fitting the two together, rather than pitching and pegging separately please?

This is the best Footprint I have ever purchased. It is vastly superior to the previous Footprint I was never able to purchase from a to remain nameless "other" supplier. This Footprint is not only the perfect shade of red it also has not been "outof stock" for two years. Over the winter I'm thinking I will upgrade to a perfect red tent as well. Thank you!
