These are excellent snowshoes! Lightweight but rugged with plenty of traction. Easy to adjust the bindings and they stay put. I have borrowed friends snowshoes and also rented - so glad that the first pair I purchased were these. Highly recommend.

I got MSR snowshoes as a Christmas present it was one of the presents ever. I have been snowshoeing for 4 years and it was time for an upgrade on my snowshoes . All the research I did said MSR was the best and two of friends bought them on my recommendation . I also purchased the bag to store them in so now very thing is ready to go in a moment notice.

I bought these snowshoes to replace a less technical pair that I purchased last year to see if I enjoyed the snowshoeing experience. Wow - what a difference quality makes! I was out for several hours today in varying terrain, lightly packed snowmobile trails, open fields and on wildlife trails in the forest - the shoes were very lightweight with great traction. Once the bindings are set up (very simple), adjustment on the go or to release is very simple. I am very impressed with the quality and performance of these snowshoes and look forward to years of use!

I like these snowshoes a lot. I lead trips for a volunteer organization as well as doing some professional guiding in the mountains of California. Snow here is heavy and often gets a tough, icy crust. I was a little worried that the single ratcheting buckle around the toe wouldn't work well in off trail conditions and the icy snow we have here. The strap is wide along the bottom sides, so it holds well and the ratcheting buckle makes these snowshoes easy to put on and take off. Quick and simple is a must for me when I am guiding a trip so I can make sure that my focus is on participants, not on getting my own gear together. My one disappointment is that these snowshoes somehow feel a little big compared to a previous pair of Atlas snowshoes (very old, but also with a ratcheting buckle system). I am not quite sure why. Otherwise, I'd give these a five-star rating.

So far I've really enjoyed using these snowshoes. The binding system is such a breeze to use. It takes me about 30 seconds to put on my snowshoes while my friends struggle to tighten 3-4 straps on their own snowshoes. They're so light weight I feel like I can go for days. The climbing bars are super simple to engage and disengage with my trekking poles. My only complaint is that the sizing chart claimed it would fit my size 11 boots. I believe a shoe size 9-10 might not have the same problem. However it was a stretch and my toes brushed the tops of the Snowshoes and I had to purchase the medium straps separately. I think the footwear size range should be updated to reflect the actual shoe size compatible with the straps included, or larger straps should be included with the snowshoes.

I only used these snowshoes a few times before the ratchet buckle on the strap broke and I was unable to release the strap. Other than the ratchet breaking they are amazing snowshoes! The design for a more narrow gait is extremely beneficial for a small female like myself (I'm 5'1"") and makes carrying heavy loads much more efficient than with traditional and clunky plastic MSR snowshoes. The ability to add the tails and therefore more surface area and float is a nice feature of these snowshoes for powdery snow conditions. I returned them due to the broken strap and ended up in my mind upgrading to the lighter and more durable MSR - Women's Lightning Ascent. Overall these are great snowshoes and I would recommend them to any female friends looking to put some miles on them in the backcountry with a heavy pack.

These are WOOMEN"S snowshoes being soled as mans, Back strap is to short to accommodate larger winter boot, or mountaineering boot.
