They look great. They feel great. And most importantly, they FLY! I was a huge fan of the V4, and began to hear lots of buzz about the V5 being the ultimate upgrade, drawing on the strength of prior models and making any necessary improvements. After putting these to the test, I can confirm that the hype is real. I love NB's snappy plate, and I also enjoy great grip/tread (excellent for sled pushing in hybrid races). The upper is also very breathable.

From the moment I slipped them on, I could tell they were built for speed. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light they are. The upper is so breathable, it feels like you're barely wearing anything, but still manages to hold your foot securely in place. And that FuelCell midsole? Seriously bouncy! Each step feels like it's propelling you forward, making you want to pick up the pace. I could really feel the carbon fiber plate working, giving the shoe a nice stiffness that helps you push off with more power. I took them out for a tempo run and I was cruising. My legs felt fresher for longer, and I definitely felt like I had an extra spring in my step. Honestly, if you're looking for a racing shoe that can help you shave off some time, the New Balance SC Elite v5 Seeding is definitely worth checking out. They're comfortable, responsive, and just plain fast. Whether you're tackling a 5K or a marathon, these shoes will give you the edge you need to perform your best.

I wore these shoes for my first marathon and the fact that I was able to order a wide option (rare for carbon plated shoes) was a game changer.

Appreciate the wide fit option. Very comfortable right out of the box. I experience minimal trampoline effect with this shoe. Really helps my toe joints from being pushed together upon impact.

Just bought these to train for and run a half marathon. Very comfy, no blisters. Get a half size bigger than you think you need!

I’ve had the SuperComp Elite v5 for a few months now, but today was the first time I actually tested them out in preparation for an upcoming (amateur) race, and wow. These shoes are fast, bouncy, and ridiculously light. The energy return is unreal, and the support and traction gave me full confidence from the first few steps. I ran a shorter distance to make sure they weren’t uncomfortable, but honestly, they were super comfy from the start. no rubbing, no pressure points, nothing. I genuinely felt faster in these than I do in my Magic Speeds, and they look so cool too. Massive tick from me. Fast. Fun. Race-ready. Highly impressed.
