Shoes are very light but feel flimsy. They arrived with human hair inside, must have been a return and Sportchek did not clean them out before reselling them to me.

Goldilocks of shoes- just right

I’ve bought 3 pairs of this this year. Just in case new balance changes or discontinues this series. One of the best running shoes I’ve ever had. Not too high, not to squishy, very little heel drop and super light. Great shoe.

Filthy insoles

These were bought online and came in an open box with no lid, with extremely filthy insoles - the foot and toe prints were stood out again the lime insoles. Just gross. I didn't even try them on, returned them with the least handling possible. That doesn't reflect the quality of the shoes, but it does speak of the service at the shipping end. The lady at the return desk was very apologetic and embarrassed. The return deserved a 5 star rating.

Great Lightweight Trainer and Racing Shoe

I was skeptical when I first tried these shoes since I was used to wearing the NB1400s and 1500s (and more recently the NB Tempo) but I have over 1000km on my first pair of these and they still feel pretty good (no weird wear pattern or excessive breakdown of the midsole). I have still not gotten used to the excessively cushioned shoes that are on the market and have always preferred a shoe with a fairly low stack height. This shoe has that lower to the ground feel that gives you the feeling of control on both roads or trails. They are also good for speed work or as a racing flat (the Pulse has a low stack height and 2mm drop). These shoes feel very stable and even though the upper feels thin and light (and I thought they would come apart prematurely) they have been very durable for light shoe and I haven't had any issues with them. Just picked up another pair on sale for myself on sale at a great price.

Bring the 1500 back!

They are very good when running, but they could have used a normal heal. This I've is not going to last, just walking to warm up will destroy them. I want my 1500 back 😭
