The shoes are fantastic but the laces that came with these shoes are way too long. They look ridiculous when tied. Like bunny ears.

I'm always a bit leary, buying shoes online. But my sister highly recommended the New Balance so I figured I'd give it a try. They are reasonably priced and she says they are perfect for wearing orthotics, since they are so deep. It's true. These will be perfect for me, with or without orthotics. I do find the laces a tad too long. Don't know why they do that - but by tying double knots I can stop them from dragging on the ground. I'm wearing these daily - walking with ease. Glad I bought them.

I bought this shoe a few years ago. I wore an 8.5 wide and it was very comfortable. This time I bought the same model number in an 8.5 wide and it was too big. Not only that, it was much stiffer. When I tried to wear them I felt like I was wearing wooden clown shoes. You could actually hear them slapping the ground due to the lack of ANY flexibility. Unfortunately I only discovered this when I actually tried going on a walk. I couldn't tell how they fit from walking in my very small apartment.
No, I do not recommend this product.

In the past, I’ve always loved the New Balance brand. Hopefully, this pair was the black sheep of NB. I may try again, but I’ll never buy another pair without trying them on first.
