I’m resuming pickleball after back surgery earlier this year. I was seeking shoes that would maximize my stability as I move laterally, giving me one less thing to worry about. Reviews of the 996 Fuel Cell were encouraging, and because I’ve been pleased with other New Balance shoes I’ve owned I chose these. They’ve been exactly what I wanted. I’ve worn them during my physical therapy sessions and they almost feel like part of my feet. Solid, comfortable, reliable.

Favorite new tennis shoes

Purchased the wide option as I developed corns from my old tennis shoes (Asics) being too narrow, and these are perfect for my bunion feet. Very comfortable and no need to break them in. I would say they aren't a true wide fit, as i do not have wide feet, but they fit like a glove. Would recommend anyone on the hunt for a pair of tennis shoes to give these a try.

Bunion approved! I have bunions bilaterally and struggle to find comfortable shoes to wear for tennis. I took a chance with the law and got them in wide and they work great. I have average width feet and large bunions and they were great. I wear a 7.5 and that’s the size I got. Perfect fit and will buy again

I have a narrow foot, and I absolutely love this shoe!! It’s a lightweight shoe that offers full support. Additionally I do not jam my toes when quickly moving forward. I’ve purchased several pairs. Continue making this shoe…perhaps add some colors.
