This head tie really does work to keep sweat from dripping down my face while running. I usually go for an hour and didn't have to wipe sweat off my forehead to keep it from dripping into my eyes. The entire tie is wet by the time I'm done so it does draw the moisture back to the ends. Not wet enough to wring any sweat out but perhaps I would be able to after longer runs. I now have to get used to not having to wipe my brows while running.
