Hiking Shoe not just for Hiking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I know these shoes are typically meant to be worn on hikes, but it’s been too hot where I live for that kind of activity. While I wait for the weather to cooldown, I’ve worn these shoes out on walks in park or around the neighborhood. While I can’t comment on their performance on rugged trails, I can say that these shoes are great for any kind of trail. The toe box has plenty of space, allowing for comfortable long-time wear. They are very cushioned, offering a nice little bounce with each step. I appreciate that the material around the upper ankle is a flexible fabric, making for a much more comfortable wear than a regular firm mid or high top. Again, I haven’t gone hiking or on any types of runs in the shoe just yet, but I think this is a lightweight shoe if you are doing trail walking or hiking. I can see this being a little heavy for a runner, but it’s not too bad! Overall, I think these are a great shoe and I’m really excited for this Fall weather so I can get outside and put these to the real test!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to receive this colorway and iteration of the Nike Zegama trail because it's tried and true trail running sneaker for me. I was hoping to wear test these in the rain, but did not find the elements in my favor between the time I got them and had to write my review. That said, the sneaker itself remains a super comfortable, roomy, responsive option in my rotation. I like the full black look, feels chic and forward. They will get very dirty, but then again that's the point. Overall, I love the sock like upper that hugs the ankle, feels extra supportive even though it's not exactly a sturdy shaft. I have worn these on road to get to the trailhead and find they are totally okay for the mile or so warmup I have before getting on gravel, woodchips, dirt, etc. I really enjoy this model and the roomy shoebox.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love love love these shoes. I used these on my Camino walk, averaging about 10 miles a day. The terrain wasn’t extremely difficult; it was a mix of concrete urban walking and dirt paths. The Zegma trails performed beautifully, the vibram sole provided plenty of traction and the midsole was still soft enough to absorb any rocky terrain. Overall, I think this shoe is a perfect trail running shoe, I wouldn’t take it on strenuous hikes as the softer midsole and ankle cuff may not be structured enough. Looks wise these shoes are fire. They aren’t screaming hiking shoe and depending on the colorway you purchase, I think they can serve as an everyday sneaker. I have the triple black colorway and they just look good with everything. In terms of fit, I’d go TTS. The toebox is a bit roomy but perfect if you’re rocking thicker socks. I don’t think it warrants a size down as the length is TTS. Just be aware that there is more wiggle room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love these Gortex shoes, but they just didn’t live up to my expectations. I’m on my feet for long hours, so comfort is a priority for me. I made sure to give these shoes a good test walking several miles in them daily, but I just never found them to be particularly comfortable. Hiking in these would not be my first choice. I’m also not the biggest fan of the overall style. I appreciate shoes that offer both comfort and a great look, and these just don’t quite deliver on either front for me. I’m a big fan of Nike products which makes this a little disappointing. I had high hopes for these, but even after putting in the miles, I just can’t seem to get behind them the way I’d hoped. They may work well for others, but personally, these aren’t a pair I’d reach for regularly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Too the shoes out for a short hike. It had rained the previous night and everything was muddy and wet. My feet were dry the whole time so I can’t complain! They were also super comfortable and I love the all black look. The photo was taken before the hike so they are a lot cleaner then they are now…but that’s my fault no NIKE’s:)

wow, I thought the Zegama 2 used to be the best but the ACG version has surpassed those. Comfort, grip, confidence. Awesome. Going to buy another pair. Size is true.

Great shoe, very cushioned and I am a big fan of the vibram/GTX combo. If you are like me and want a little room between your toes and the end of the toe box (or tip of the shoe), strongly suggest a 1/2 size up.
