Product Details

When your workouts wade into the nitty gritty, the Nike Free Metcon 5 can meet you in the depths, help you dig deep to find that final ounce of force and come out of the other side on a high. It matches style with substance, forefoot flexibility with backend stability, perfect for flying through a cardio day or enhancing your agility. A revamped upper offers easier entry with a collar made just for your ankle.

  • A breathable, lightweight upper has a comfortable, sock-like feel with a 7/8-length inner sleeve and provides easy entry. Plush foam around the collar provides comfort and support around your ankle.

  • A softer foam core cushions your foot, while a firmer outer layer is durable and stable. Wide internal webbing distributes pressure around your midfoot for a comfortable yet secure feel during sudden stops and quick cuts.

  • Nike Free technology in the forefoot creates flexibility for agility moves like burpees, planks and sprints. Stretch around the collar lets your foot move naturally as you burst, cut and brake.

Don’t buy. Get the 4’s instead

Way worse than the Free Metcon 4’s. The 4’s had almost a gel feeling to the tongue and hugged your foot. The 5’s feel cheap and are not comfortable around the ankle area. Bring back the 4’s and I’d buy them again. No chance I buy the 6’s if they continue this design.

True to size. Wraps your feet like a glove and extremely flexible. The midsole is surprisingly more durable than the Free Metcon 6. They are lighter and has a softer midsole compared to the Metcon 9. The best overall gym shoe imo

Not very comfortable. I walked about 1 mile today and had to change to a different pair. I may return them and get something else.

I have only wore these 2x but they are already my favorite trainers. Very comfortable, great fit and good stability.

Go 1/2 smaller than your usual size. I’m usually a 5.5 in other brands and 6 in Nike but had to go all the way down to a 5. After multiple online returns I got the right size. The all white color is super flattering and looks clean with my gym outfit. I’ve done heavy deadlifts and squats in them but they’re not good for running as the bottom is pretty firm and the middle of the shoe near the arch is a bit narrow. Good as a lifting shoe but don’t think I would do much cross-training/jumping etc in them.

This is my 4th pair. Need I say more. Excellent gym shoes and for ‘light’ walking. Great looks, great fit, great grip, great durability, … my only issue would be that these are cushioned enough to run in. Otherwise, perfect!

Get shoes but a little on the small/tight side. All my other Nikes are 10.5 and fit great but I think these may have been miss labeled unfortunately.
