    Airy and stretchy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel that the shoes run true to size. They’re very comfortable and airy. It’s like you’re walking on air or a cloud pillow like they’re very comfortable to walk around and either go to the gym or if you’re out in the city doing errands. The design is well crafted. It’s very spacious for someone who has a wide feet so it’s not tight on the toes and it gives you that extra space and stretch you need if you wanted to wear like a double sock. The fabric is very breathable and stretchy and it seems as if they’re like kind of waterproof where that your feet won’t get hot because of how the fabric is designed to like come back the sweat if you did decide to work out in these. Overall, I love the shoe it’s very comfortable stretchy breathable and they feel like you’re walking on a cloud. I’m very attracted to the design in the material. It’s very high-quality so that you’ll get a good last out of them whether you’re using them for workout or for running errands all day, they’re very comfortable. I don’t think I will change anything about the Shoe maybe bring more colors in for women. I love pink. I would love to see these in more colors but overall well crafted design and very comfortable for my busy lifestyle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Free Metcon 7 shoes are comfortable and lightweight while still providing the stability and support needed for HIIT workouts and strength training. At 6'2" 215 lbs, the shoes felt grounded during lifts like squats and deadlifts, yet surprisingly nimble during exercises like box jumps and burpees. They run slightly big and, like most Nike Free shoes, they were ready for use right out of the box with no break in required. I really like the Metcon branding on the tongue and heel grabs. I just wish there was a bigger call out to the Swoosh. There are several, but they’re small and hardly noticeable on the Triple Black colorway. Another great design is how the tongue is sewn directly to the upper about halfway up. It gives the shoes a lockdown effect with a sock-like feel. What stood out most was their versatility in handling different types of training. They felt adaptive during agility workouts and stable under loads while weightlifting. They even look great for everyday wear. Overall, the Metcon 7s feel and look as good as they perform. If you’re wanting versatility and a shoe that can do it all, these are them. I recommend them for active individuals at any stage in their fitness journey. Thank you, Nike, for letting me test and review the Nike Free Metcon 7 shoes!

Definitely not as comfortable as the previous Metcon series. They’re very hard and flat. The previous Metcons I was able to walk around and workout in them.

These felt plastic and cheap. Less mobility than a normal Metcon. Nike missed with these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had some time to try out the Nike Free Metcon 7, and overall, I thought they were okay for what they’re designed to do. They felt decent enough for workouts, but they didn’t really stand out to me compared to some other training shoes I’ve worn. One of the first things I noticed was the fit. They felt a little too big on my feet and never really gave me that snug, tight feeling that I usually look for in a training shoe. I think sizing down may help, but in during my experience they felt a bit loose and bulky. At times it almost felt like I was wearing small boxes on my feet rather than a shoe that fit me naturally. The materials seemed durable enough, but they didn’t feel particularly premium. They got the job done, but they lacked that high quality feel that makes you immediately notice and appreciate the work made to create them when you put them on. The design was probably my least favorite part. The mostly black color scheme felt a little plain to me, and it didn’t really have that classic Nike look that stands out. I personally would have liked to see a white Nike Swoosh incorporated somewhere into the design to give it a little more personality and make it more recognizable as a Nike shoe. Overall, the Nike Free Metcon 7 is a fine for what it is - a training shoe, but it wasn’t really for me. If I could change one thing, it would be the fit and color scheme. A more secure fit and a little more visual appeal can go a long way in improving the overall experience.

Not comfortable at all, the mid sole is very narrow causing rub and foot box not very wide, luckily only tried on in house and noticed these problems, sent for return.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Free Metcon 7 is a great option if you need a dedicated gym shoe. Not only were the shoes very comfortable they were also great for lifting. These shoes are great if you are a hybrid athlete. I found that they had just the right amount of cushion for cardio for long sessions of incline treadmill or stair master but were also stable enough to do heavy deadlifts and squats. I was able to use them for heavy sled push/pulls with no issue. The fabric seems to be pretty durable yet also breathable. The material on the toe scratches easily but will buff out nicely with a good wipe down after your gym sesh. The shoes overall design and comfortability is also great if you need to throw on something quick outside the gym. I found myself reaching for these shoes over my other shoes for quick trips to the store since they were quick to slip on with the heel strap. The only thing I would reconsider with this shoe is to go a half size up from you regularly wear. They were a bit uncomfortable and too small out of the box but re-lacing the shoes just right seemed to help.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Admittedly when I first got the Free Metcon 7s I was a bit skeptical, but after having tried them as part of my usual routine they turned out to be a very dependable pair for working out. They were very supportive, especially for leg routines and squats especially. I'm a huge fan of the slightly raised arched footbed to just give a little extra support. They're not the most comfortable but they're designed for stability primarily, and they did flex a good amount underfoot when I needed them to. The upper is decently breathable too, while I also really like knitted uppers these were a solid offering to keep things decently cool even in a hot gym. Lockdown isn't the best but it definitely gets me through my reps with no hassle, especially with how stellar the traction is on these. Overall a pretty solid pair with no special frills, just good performance.
