A solid basketball shoe that gets the job done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Precision 8 MID is a solid basketball shoe that delivers the essentials without trying to reinvent the wheel. If you're looking for something flashy or packed with the latest basketball technology, these probably aren't going to blow you away. However, for the average player who just wants a dependable pair of shoes to hit the court, they're a good option. The design is clean and understated, making it a good choice for players who care more about functionality. It's the type of basketball shoe that focuses on covering the basics rather than standing out. While I wouldn't necessarily put these in the same category as higher-end performance basketball shoes, I don't think they're trying to compete at that level. They're a practical option for recreational players, casual pickup games, or anyone who doesn't need all the bells and whistles of a premium basketball sneaker. Overall, the Nike Precision 8 MID is a good basketball shoe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After opening the box for the Nike Precision 8 MID, my eyes immediately focused around the midsole and outsole. These components of the sneaker are reminiscent of the AirMax 97, but instead of an air bubble, they are designed with pure cushioning technology. The toebox is wider to provide comfort when making simple and complex cuts moving up and down the court. On feet, the sneakers feel comfortable and easy to move around in; the stretch-knit upper allowed me to move my toes freely and comfortably. The way the sneaker stacks cushioning did not make me feel like my ankles would be compromised either. Sometimes, too much cushion makes me feel like one wrong move could put me out of commission; this sneaker did not give me these concerns. At times, the sneaker can feel flat on your feet, but after I broke them in, the comfort improved. Overall, the Nike Precision 8 MID is a complex basketball shoe that will provide great performance without breaking the bank.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these shoes for my husband who wears Nikes for the style. After a few weeks of wearing them he gives them an A+! The fabric is breathable (coming from someone whose feet get sweaty!), they look good with a variety of outfits, and have quickly become a go to! They didn’t even take long to break in. While I can’t speak to how they perform on the basketball court, I can say for style and comfort they’re an A+! And they allow for fast take offs when he needs to chase our toddler through the park. So that’s a win!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nike’s precision 8 sneaker is absolutely comfortable. They have a wide forefoot which allows you to wear for an extended period of time. They handle very well on the court and are extremely breathable. I’ve worn plenty of basketball sneakers that after 30 minutes your pinky feels like it’s going to fall off but not with this shoe. Overall I was very impressed with the shoe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In fairness, I did not wear these shoes to play basketball in. To me they run a little bit small though I'm not sure a size up would have made them more comfortable. I found the arches to be uncomfortable, though others may like the feel, but i couldn't wear them for long periods of time because of that. They are light and the material is breathable. The toe box wasn't tight. I would wear them as a regular shoe outside of the court.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was impressed with the overall fit, comfort, and stability of the Nike Precision 8 MID basketball shoes. They fit true to size and offered good cushioning, arch support, and ankle support. What stood out most was how secure my feet felt while playing basketball. Even when pivoting and changing direction on the court, I never felt like my feet were slipping or moving around inside the shoes. They provided a stable, supportive feel that gave me confidence during activity. I wore these shoes while playing basketball as well as walking to and from the court, and they performed well for both. The cushioning made them comfortable to wear, and the shoes felt supportive throughout. They’re not particularly lightweight, but they also didn’t feel overly heavy during use. The design is nice and fairly straightforward. There’s nothing especially exciting about the appearance, but the shoes are well designed and have a solid, practical look. The materials feel durable and well constructed, and the overall quality seems good for a basketball shoe. My favorite feature is definitely the stability and support, especially around the ankles. If I could change one thing, I would improve the breathability. The shoes didn’t allow for as much airflow as I would have liked, particularly during physical activity. Otherwise, I think Nike did a great job creating a comfortable, supportive basketball shoe that performs well on the court.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall good arch support with a wider base relating to some other Nike products I have purchased over the years. For a mid, pretty healthy support through the ankle as well. Good traction on the court when cutting and stopping. Overall, very comfortable. The design reminds me of some of the early 90s Nike stuff and really stands out once it's complemented with pants or shorts. Initial impressions is that the fabric upper is heavy duty and a little more solid than some of the standard Nike running or even other basketball shoes. Overall it's a solid breathable fabric. That said, fabric upper always make me wonder about long term durability and I haven't had these long enough to have an opinion on that.
