Nike Men's Trail Run Flex Stride 5-in Dri-FIT Running Shorts

Great shorts for running, good utility pockets and loops.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely comfortable very durable high quality shorts. Running with these shorts is extremely comfortable and the quality is amazing. I would highly recommend the black/grey color as it matches with everything. The zippers on the shorts are an amazing touch for storing small accessories. Favorite touch to the shorts are the small reflective hits near the waistband.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have traditionally been a road runner, but have recently ventured off-road onto trails, and really like the functionality and feel of my new 5” trail shorts! They fit just as great as my usual “road” Nike Flex Stride shorts, but have an upgraded, more durable front paneling to protect against any stray branches you might come across when navigating tight trail runs, as well as a more flexible and breathable material across the remainder of the short. With an inner lining built in, they kept me cool and dry while on my run just like the rest of my favorite Nike 2-in-1 shorts. I also really appreciate the effort to provide increased utility support with five pockets and four elastic loops for my essentials. The loops on both sides were more than enough to carry my towel and water bottle while on the trail, the key pocket kept my keys securely in place, and the new rear pocket with horizontal zipper (as opposed to the vertical zipper on my old Flex Stride shorts) made it much easier to secure and access my phone. Thank you SO much for the new pocket, this might have been my favorite feature/upgrade, the older rear pockets with a vertical zipper are a daily struggle for me lol I might go with a slightly longer pair if the path runs through thick brush, a pair of 7” shorts might protect the thighs a bit more, but overall I’d say these shorts are a great option for keeping you comfortably on the move while in the trail!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are all different levels of awesome and innovation. Made from sustainably sourced materials and they have all day comfort! The material is very stretchy, breathable, and lightweight. Which is exactly what you want from a pair of running/workout shorts. The utility of the shorts matches the great comfort with deep zip closure pockets on both sides of the shorts, there are two loops on both hips that are made from almost a bungee cord like material that works well for holding things such as, a shirt or towel or even work well as pull tabs to pull the shorts up! I’m not a huge fan of the inner lining of the shorts, it kinda gives me swimming trunk vibes. I noticed a slight “hug” from the lining when I first put the shorts on but that feeling quickly went away and these felt like I could keep them on all day and sleep in them. I love the camo print on the bottom and back of the shorts, but my favorite detail is definitely the little subtle Nike Trail logo. All together these shorts have uber amounts of utility, are super comfortable, and being 5” they show off the hamstrings a little so what’s not to love.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was honestly expecting the short to be a run-of-the-mill short with cool graphics and maybe more sturdy fabric, but I was amazed by all the little (and important) details included. The first thing that caught my eye was the zipper back pocket. The zipper actually has a band that allows you to open the pocket without having the fiddle around too much. On those extra long runs, that definitely helps! The other thing I was impressed by were the elastic loops on the side of the shorts. Usually when it gets too hot on a run, I take my shirt off and tuck it in the waistband which can be hazardous for reasons you might imagine. The loops make it really easy to take layers off without worrying about revealing too much. Lastly, I was amazed by how lightweight it is. The fabric is generally lightweight and vented, except for the areas you would want ideal wind protection. Overall, I’m impressed by all the features that were packed in the shorts, especially at the price point it’s marketed toward.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are very breathable and flexible and it really feels like you have almost nothing on. I usually run a daily 5k and I’m training for my first half marathon and as such having lightweight and breathable shorts that can suck away any sweat is essential. These shorts have a lot of pockets and places to put your items that you need to bring along for trails as well. The aesthetics are great and breathing room they give are very nice for a daily run.

No matter which way I move my body I never feel that these shorts are restricting me. Took a hike the other day and was pleasantly surprised by how well these shorts held up. No scratches or tears and it was a pretty strenuous trip. The lining is very comfortable and breathable and i love the zippers for security. The last bit that made these shorts awesome is the loop whole in the back, it allows me to stuff a rag through it which I always carry but Im pretty sure you could also fit a water bottle in there too.
