Nike Men's Trail Run Vest

This is a really good hydration vest. Beware the sizing is chest sizes - measure, don’t guess! The adjusters at the sides are key to getting a “no bounce” fit. The little pockets these are in will each take a couple of gels too. The front pockets are quite loose, so heavy things may bounce - my AirPod case does. I moved it to be in with a soft flask. No bottles included.. The openings for the pockets are really wide and will take all manner if bottles from soft to quite large, hard bicycle ones. I got this as a summer replacement for my Salomon vest, which is too hot in warm weather. This one is perfect for the heat, being open mesh. Phone pocket fits an iPhone 10 and is well waterproofed. The back pocket has a waterproof section next to the body, but the mesh does soak sweat in to the outer side and there is no rain protection for that pocket. Nice feature, a “tunnel” between body and back pocket to stuff a jacket for easy access. Also two elasticated straps on the collarbone, perfect for gloves or water bottle straws. The mesh all over is very slightly rough. The cut works well with vests as well as short sleeve shirts. No chaffing. Very pleased with my purchase.

I love the vest! The ACG vest sizing was a challenge for me. The S/M sizes were way too small and the L size is too large. Still, the vest is great and perfect for summer. But, I would only pay full price if my body perfectly fit into one of these size ranges. The vest is awesome in design, colors, materials and functionality, for sure! Perfect for hot, humid steamy summer days in metro NYC ! Lots of pockets. The sizing of the vest is tricky. I am an "L" in the chest, but a "M" everywhere else - in this vest cut. I have never had this problem in any other Nike item. If you fit these Nike vest sizes available, then you will love this vest - the materials, design, functionality, colorway are so good! And a vest for running, activities and day-to-day usage is a necessity! Nike engineers are meticulous, and they will get the sizing matter right, I am certain of that! I would give it 5-star - if chest size fit more naturally (as in nearly every other Nike item for me).

This is a well made and good looking vest, but I quickly found it uncomfortable. I found this vest bounced a lot with 250ml water bottles in each chest pocket. When you tighten using the side straps, the bag constricts your chest as you breath. This is really uncomfortable. I wish Nike Trail designers use more stretchy fabric on future models to prevent this discomfort. Also, there is a lack of secure zip pockets to carry a mobile on long runs/races.

Fits well initially, looks nice. Straps to tighten across chest and mid-drift loosen every 10mins or so - faff. Material used for front pockets is far too stretchy, if you carry any water, expect this to be bouncing around everywhere. Pull cords to tighten up the front pockets disintegrate at the lightest touch. Overall not impressed, plenty more design work required to make this a practical running/hydration vest.
