Good ball

I am not sure why others have had issues with the Nike PL Aerowsculpt Academy ball. For me the ball has been great. It has not lost air. For those with balls that lose air, perhaps, they are the Match Balls (Nike Flight), which for some reason are designed to lose air after a short period of time. The feel and control of the Nike PL Aerowsculpt Academy ball is great and I am gonna bet it will last longer than similar tier Adidas balls, which I have bought a lot of in the last few years. In the photo, second row are balls I have had issues with. From left to right (2nd row): 1. Euro2020 - too heavy. 2. 2020/21 Champions League finale ball (League tier) - panels separate after moderate use. It has a great feel and control, though. 3. 2022/23 Champions League Group Stage ball (League tier). I think it is meant to be used in pristine fields/grass. If you look closely you will see it is punctured. 4. I expect similar outcome regarding the last two balls (WC 2022 and Women's Champions League 2022/2023). What I am trying to say is, I will be sticking with Nike and/or Puma balls for now.

Lemon or a poorly constructed product?

Really disappointing. The ball looks just like what they use in the PL, but you can clearly tell by the light weight of the product (the Adidas CL replica is much more sturdy and holds up to play quite well) that its materials are substandard and it won't stand up to even moderate use. I could hear air hissing out the value after inflation (with a Nike air needle), and, sure enough, the ball didn't stay inflated after 20 minutes of light trick n' flicks. Being that I live a million miles from civilization, I had to choose Canada Post to return the ball. Yeah, the shipping back to the Brampton warehouse was almost as expensive as the ball itself. I hope the defect I experienced was just a one-off situation, as I'd love to have this design to remind of City winning three straight Premierships, but I don't want to blow 40 bucks more on shipping back ANOTHER poorly made product. Truthfully, I feel taken advantage of. This situation definitely changes my mind, for the negative, about online shopping at Sport Chek.

No, I do not recommend this product.
