    Light Comfy and Responsive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Throwing these on for the first time, I was a little skeptical to be honest, but my mind was changed instantly once I laced them up and took them for a spin. The fit was solid, a little snug at first but that's what you want when you're on looking for a solid basketball shoe. Eventually They broken in nicely, giving me a little more wiggle room, but without being too lose where I could injure myself trying to make fast cuts and sudden stops. The feeling on these was very reminiscent of wearing a Kobe low, just without some of the bulk making these a very solid budget option without all the premium features or exclusivity. The design, again was very familiar, similar to a lot of the Kobe lows I've have owned and worn. Low, sleek, and simplistic. A classic iconic look, with a bit of a modern twist. The flyknit uppers makes these very light, while maintaining excellent breathability while you're on the move being active, helping keep your feet cool and dry. The colorway is simple and classic, goes with anything and everything which is what I love about this silhouette. I can't decide if I like the simplicity and classic look and feel of these the most, or the lightweight comfort that they provide, while keeping your feet stable and secure without adding too much weight and bulk. I don't think I would change anything on this sneaker to be honest, it does what it's supposed to, while providing a more budget friendly option, and versatile looks to be worn on and off the court.

    Great Basketball and Lifestyle Shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t wear these exclusively for basketball, but they’ve quickly become one of my favorite pairs for everyday wear. I’ve worn a lot of performance shoes — Jordans, LeBrons, KDs — and these stand out as the most comfortable and stable so far. The ankle and knee support is excellent, and I’d have full confidence playing in them both indoors and outdoors depending on the surface. They’ve earned a permanent spot in my rotation, and I find myself reaching for them constantly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to receive these GT Hustle shoes as I love shooting hoops and playing some mellow 1 on 1 at the park. I’m a big basketball fan, through and through. When I put them on at first I noticed they were pretty tight in the toe box, my toes were very squished up against the front of the shoe. I thought I could wear them for a few hours everyday over a few weeks and they would get better. Unfortunately that was not the case. I am still have issue with my toes being cramped in the front of the shoe. Other than that the shoe is very comfortable but I unfortunately will need a 9.5 men size shoe instead of my usual 9 men’s shoe size which is typical shoe size in Nike shoes. I am really bummed out that these did not have any stretch to them there for was not able to get comfortable in them while working out or playing basketball. Very unfortunate that the toe box doesn’t stretch at all even after weeks of wearing them. Hopefully Nike redesigns these awesome shoes to be more accommodating for the normal shoe dimension so people aren’t buying their normal size but finding out the hard way that it is too small.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really hopeful about these shoes because they look sleek and clean. The Flyknit upper gives them a modern aesthetic that I really like. Nike describes the full Flyknit upper as lightweight and breathable, with dual layer responsive foam meant to help with smooth transitions on the court. Unfortunately, once I wore them, I was disappointed. From the moment I laced them up, they felt stiff and uncomfortable around the ankles. I gave them multiple chances to break in, but the stiffness never eased up. Walking in them feels awkward and restrictive, and after a short time my ankles hurt. On the court these issues only became worse. The tight fit around the ankles limited my lateral movement and made cuts feel clumsy. Pivoting felt restricted, and I was never fully confident in my footing. After a few minutes of playing I could feel sharp pressure and rubbing that took away from my focus. It genuinely hurt, which affected my ability to play my sport at the level I am used to. The traction is decent, and I will give credit there. On clean courts the grip felt solid and reliable. That small positive aside, the lack of comfort and mobility outweighs the benefits. The shoe is stylish and has a sleek look, but in my experience it is not practical for performance. I would not feel comfortable wearing these for a full game.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got my first pair of GT Hustle Academy basketball shoes and was intrigued by its price and stylish low top look but the cushion really disappointed me. The cushion is a foam cushion but I wish there was a Zoom air unit in the midsole. I will play for 1-2 hours and the next day, my legs are sore and my knees wish I played in a different pair of shoes. I am someone who does like to play off the ground so I am always jumping around for rebounds, layups, shots, etc. so that might be part of the reason but I do wish the cushion system was different. The GT Hustle Academy definitely won't beat out other shoes in my rotation and in my opinion, it has been okay for shooting around, but for scrimmaging, I would find myself gravitating towards my other Nike basketball shoes such as the Sabrinas because of the cushioning. I will say for positives, the shoe is very breathable with the flyknit material. Traction was solid and I don't have many problems when I play at my fairly dusty local gym. I just wish the cushioning was improved because even though it is more budget friendly price wise, I find I don't get as much use out of the shoe because I prefer my shoes to be responsive but also have decent cushioning and impact protection. Overall, I think it's a stylish low top budget basketball shoe, but if you are someone who prefers a well cushioned shoe with good impact protection, I would consider some of the other Nike basketball shoe options as there are plenty to choose from.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GT Hustle Academy really impressed me on court. The fit is snug without being restrictive, giving me a locked-in feel that helps with quick cuts and transitions. The design is sleek yet performance-driven, with a low-to-the-ground build that makes me feel faster and more agile. The fabric and materials are lightweight but still supportive, keeping my feet cool during long runs up and down the floor. What I liked most was the cushioning—it strikes the perfect balance between comfort and responsiveness, letting me stay explosive without feeling weighed down. Honestly, I wouldn’t change much; it’s a great shoe for players who rely on speed, agility, and all-day comfort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The upper is lightweight and breathable while still holding up well over time. The outsole has excellent grip, giving you confidence on quick stops and changes of direction. That said, the forefoot runs narrow, which can feel uncomfortable after a while, and the shoe doesn’t offer much in terms of arch support. For players who rely on sharp cuts or driving hard to the basket, that lack of support becomes noticeable. This is a solid shoe for beginners or casual players who want a comfortable, durable option with great traction. For ballers who demand more support for aggressive cuts and drives, it may not be the best fit.
