Disappointed👎Esthetic issue; improper handling

I'm a loyal Nike fan who regularly buys their products from various sources, but I was disappointed with SportChek's handling of this pair of Cortez sneakers. I find the Cortez very comfortable and especially LOVE this seasonal color, but upon receiving my online order, I noticed the suede overlay on the left shoe was clearly altered—darker in color and completely smooth, with the suede gone. I tried brushing it to restore the texture, but it didn't help. Since this was SportChek's last pair in this size, it's possible the left shoe may have been used as a display model. If so, SportChek should include this detail with the product's description or at least contact me before shipping, rather than leaving their customer to deal with the hassle of returning a product because it clearly isn't in "new/unused" condition, which could have been avoided with minimal effort.
