Nike Women's Dri-FIT Universa High Rise 5" Shorts

The new version of these shorts is incredibly disappointing. I have three pair of the previous version that I run in constantly and they are perfect. The new version is thinner fabric, a thin and unflattering waist elastic, and they ride up horribly. Please change the design back to the previous version

(w)... iykyk. I don't have this issue with bike shorts and compression shorts from various other brands... Still gave it an extra star bc it is indeed very soft and comfortable... Just very unflattering to wear in public.

Why did the Nike Universa women’s biker shorts change? I have three pairs from 2023-2024 that I wear all the time and with the new ones I ordered in 2025 the material feels less compressive, the thigh band doesn’t stay as well. They feel lower quality overall.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE! These shorts did not roll or ride up during my run and I love that there’s no middle crotch seam. Super comfortable and cute!

I love the soft material. I love the thickness of the fabric and the high waist. There isn’t a front seam but there is a thicker seam on the inside thigh that is a tougher scratchy fabric that did cause me to chafe on a 20 min walk and I’ve never had chafing before with any pair of shorts. I’d recommend these for Pilates workouts but not running or walking.

I have been waiting for nike to release something like these shorts for the longest time. So comfortable and I love the no front inseam. Very flattering and supportive for lifting and muay thai. They do run a little big in the waist. I sized down from my usual M in nike bottoms.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these shorts. They have great stretch and offer support throughout the waistband without extreme restriction. The 5” length is perfect for me as it’s long enough to not ride up my thighs when I walk/workout. The fabric feels soft and supportive which is exactly what I look for in clothes I’ll be moving a lot in. The best part of these is the curved seam on the back which accentuates the right places and doesn’t give the flat look a horizontal seam usually creates. Also- usable pockets! Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the material of these biker shorts. They are sweat-wicking, but still sleek-looking. They are great for active wear but could be "dressed" up and used for street wear as well. They fit much better than I expected them to. Biker shorts are usually too big on my waist or too tight on my thighs, but these were a perfect fit. The large waistband was very flattering and contained my stomach without squeezing me in and making me uncomfortable. I am confident that these biker shorts will last me for years and the waistband will ensure they are still flattering on me despite the weight fluctuations I may experience. The smooth material felt good on my thighs, but as I was moving around I could feel the biker shorts start to roll up. If I wore them for longer than an hour or two I am confident they would cause chaffing. My suggestion would be to make them a bit longer to combat this problem and maybe find a way to use a material similar to the waistband at the bottom of the shorts to prevent this problem. My favorite thing about these biker shorts is their clean look and design. The butt seam combined with the waistband makes these a closet staple.
