We just had a hurricane in Houston, and this was the best thing I wore to keep me from getting extremely wet in the rain. The only thing missing is a hood to cover your head, but everything else stayed dry. It's also super comfortable—it's like you're not wearing anything, yet you're fully protected from the rain. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m 6’ tall with broad shoulders and wear a medium in Nike outerwear (something to take into consideration when reading this review). I have a medium in this jacket. It fits well, but I fully expected it to fit a little more oversized than it does based on the pictures and description. I can imagine this jacket would achieve the oversized look on a smaller person, but the fit is a bit off for me. I like the material, the mesh on the inside seems like it will keep me warmer than a typical windbreaker. I’ll still use it when the weather cools a bit, but I think it would just be cuter on a smaller-framed body.

It’s lightweight and perfect for summer weather as well! The only thing I would recommend changing is the hood. There isn’t one, and that would be the perfect addition.

The fit is fairly oversized; I went with my regular jacket size and it was looser and baggier than what I’m used to. It was still a comfortable fit though. The design is what you expect from a coaches’ jacket and is pretty standard. It also includes a string at the bottom hem to tighten it up if you wanted to. The pockets are roomy and the snap buttons are convenient. The feel is comfortable. The main body is nylon and feels substantial. They have the feel of guys’ swim trunks but with higher quality. It’s meant to block out UV rays so that would make sense why it feels thicker. It also has a mesh inner liner layer that helps in warmer temperatures. The swooshes on the front and back are both embroidered. The front swoosh is subtle but the one on the back is a bit large for anyone who doesn’t exactly prefer loud branding. Overall, it’s a nice jacket to leave next to the door and grab before you head out!

First, I would purchase this jacket in every color. I love how the inside gives a breathable feel when changing climates. The design of the jacket gives a causal and trendy style. I wore this jacket with an everyday outfit. I love the large Nike logo in the back and the small logo in the front. The jacket provided my outfit with a nicely comfortable touch. Not only did the jacket complement my outfit, it also provided me with warmth in cooler areas. I loved everything about this jacket. One thing I truly would change about this jacket would be providing it in many other color way options. This includes having the jacket one color and the logo in another color. I love this jacket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the black colorway of the Nike Sportswear Essential Jacket and I am loving it so far. The interior of the jacket features a mesh layer that allows for breathability, especially on warmer days. I love how the Nike logo on the back and front are embroidered and in my opinion, the embroidery really enhances the feel and quality of the jacket. The collar and jacket snaps (instead of a zipper) gives it a slightly more formal look while maintaining its streetwear vibe. There are 6 jacket snaps and it gives you the flexibility to style it in different ways. The oversized fit is also nice if you're looking for a jacket that is comfortable and easy to throw on as a top layer. The jacket is also relatively lightweight, making it pack easily for trips. I do wish the side pockets featured zippers instead of a snap fastener. The side pockets, however, are big and fairly deep. For reference, I could fit my 32 oz water bottle and hand in the pocket so the pockets could definitely fit a phone and wallet easily. Finally, I love how this jacket is made out of sustainable materials and 100% recycled fibers while still being extremely functional (water-repellent and has UV-protection). It's for sure a win win!
