Wildhorse 8 Lightweight

They grip really well with the loose gravel on the slopes. Nice cushion. I miss the collar on the ankle of previous models that kept the grass seeds, etc from falling in the shoe. The ankle stability was also better on the previous models. This model was cheaper in price - but also cheaper in quality.

Great shoes

At first these felt weird from the heel, but by my second wear they fit like a glove. I used them for running and so far they are great. I really liked the color, which were the summit white/vapor green..size 6

This would have been my third pair of the Wildhorse line (the 5 was my favorite), but they are noticeably smaller than their predecessors. Which is extra disappointing because Nike already runs small???
The tongue is also strangely overbuilt with foam plates for protection, which makes the shoe fit a bit more snugly. And the top pushes into my leg in an irritating manner due to it being so stiff. Additionally, the water/mud protection wrap at the toe is less substantial.
It does have more cushion than the 5, which was my only complaint about that version. This version is not a win.

These sneakers are extremely comfortable, & are beautifully made. I bought them as a gift for my little cousin, & ended up buying a pair for myself as well!!! Great shoes!

These shoes are amazing I've been suffering with heel pain, these are game changer. I've only worn for work so far, but will be hiking in March and can't wait to see how they perform.

Absolutely in love with these shoes! I work in healthcare so wanted something that is super supportive and these are the ones for sure. They were comfortable from day 1 and I plan on buying another pair just to have a back up of the color way I love. I also live somewhere that is super snowy and rocky right now and these shoes handle the weather like a champ. I imagine these would be superb shoes for trail running.

I’m in love with this shoe! Now keep in mind I am not an active runner, occasionally do my walks weekly and light work outs. First moment I put them on, felt the best support/cushion. Took them on a mile run, and I usually do half walk and then run a little. I was able to run with these the majority of my whole mile and didn’t feel like it!!!

Mesh is terible on trail runners

Nilke Wildhorse are my favorite trail runners of all brands, however the new version has mesh on the top and sides. This is a terrible design for a trail running shoe. I have the Terra Kiger with the mesh and get sand all in my feet when I am on the trail. It does not make for a comfortable hike or trail run. This version also seems a little larger than previous. Wildhorse versions. Sadly,I will need to return these. I really hope Nike goes back to a version without the mesh.
