    Very good bag

It can fit a surprisingly good amount of items in it. The zippers all feel good quality and there is plenty of little pockets for storage. It’s great it comes with a bag to protect it for when it’s in airports. It is very pricey but worth the price if it holds up.

Having worked in the outdoor retail industry, I've kept my eye on travel bags for sometime. This is the only pack I've found that can deliver on what I need for traveling. My international travel typically involves considerable hiking or backpacking, and my equipment needs to be portable, durable, and versatile. If you need a pack that can be safely checked on an airplane, has a robust suspension system, is highly adjustable, includes a rain cover (it fits fine), that is super comfortable, is easy to pack, and that can handle a few days of backpacking, this is a winner. Because it doesn't have tons of pockets, I have found it works best to have packing cubes and other organizing sacks in the pack. I truly love this pack and have considered buying the 70L version. Well done, Osprey. It's surprising to me that more people don't know about this pack.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took some time to get used to packing "luggage" style after mainly using a top-loading pack to travel with for years. I've tried to use it for a couple overnighter hikes attempting to utilize all that space but wouldn't recommend it for that activity. Personally didn't find the straps comfortable for longer wear and they don't fit the best for short torsos. Good news is this bag was designed for travel like commuting by train, bus, airplane and works perfect for its intended purpose. Overall satisfied with it. I read in older reviews you were able to attach the day packs by zippers instead of just clip straps, would love to see that feature brought back!

    Great bag for international travel

I bought this bag for a 9 day international trip to Norway. I used the bag as a carryon with no problems. It fit everything I needed it to, including camping gear. We did not do any long hiking but I did buy it with that in mind. The straps were adjustable and comfortable. I think this bag is great for the dual purpose of large travel and hiking. The main reason I got this bag was the way it easily opens the large pocket. If I was strictly hiking I would go for a bag with more pockets and straps.

Very nice bag. Easy to adjust and comfortable. The only thing that is wrong is the rain cover. It is design to be both airplane transporter (you put in bag in it, zip it, and check your bag) and rain cover. However, the rain cover does not fit tightly around the bag. Therefore, bag is not protecteur at all during rain storms. I regret buying the bag.
