    After a short time using

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a short time using the 3l Osprey bladder I can say it's genuinely well made and of good quality. There is some room for improvement when it comes to the overall design especially since this is a premium priced item. Due to limitations on compatibility, I chose this bladder to compliment my Osprey Atmos AG 65l backpacking bag. It fits well with this item using the proprietary clip. It works okay in my day pack which is not Osprey branded and I've owned other bags where this small opening on the top would no fit the buckle that secures the bladder. My biggest ask is that the opening be wider to allow for quicker drying. Perhaps because it's so new that I need to give it time and use to wear in. This wasn't the case with another branded bladder I used that when hung to dry it took a few minutes where this bladder takes longer and I'm constantly trying to prop open the opening or find an approach that allows the bladder to be more easily cleaned and dried so I can prep it for the next adventure. So far, the gear has held up well and I appreciate the handle and backplate on the item for holding and inserting it easier in my bags. Thank you for your continued design innovations.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I much prefer the older design of the 3l reservoir with its rigid back and wide screw top opening that meant you could fill it in the horizontal position under any tap. This new model feels more flimsy and not as robust so am not convinced it will last as long. Overall very disappointing considering the price. Not an improvement on previous model.

    I purchased this Osprey hydration

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this Osprey hydration reservoir for a Yellowstone backcountry trip and it failed on its very first use. The sliding closure clip at the top punctured several tiny holes in the reservoir near the seal. About an hour into a six-hour hike, I discovered water leaking into my Osprey Atmos backpack. By that point, I had already lost a significant amount of water and had no way to trust the reservoir for the remainder of the trip. I was forced to empty the reservoir completely and continue hiking without a reliable water supply. During the hike, I had to rely on the generosity of another hiker who shared water with me. On a two-day backcountry trip, a hydration system is not a convenience item, it is essential safety equipment. What disappoints me most is that this happened on the very first use. I chose Osprey because of its reputation for quality and reliability in the outdoors. Instead, the reservoir failed due to damage caused by its own closure system. A hydration reservoir should not puncture itself simply from being sealed as designed. This product significantly impacted my first Yellowstone backcountry experience, and I cannot recommend it based on my experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very handy and sturdy. One minus is for the rigid back which I can feel even through my backpacking Osprey bag.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Opened it and there was a hole between the bladder and the handle. Complete design flaw. Will not get again. Also had a TERRIBLE plastic taste.
