    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was at Pack Rat in Fayetteville Ar. when I found this butt pack, due to the heat around this place while mountain biking I figured for the summer time I would put away my Osprey ruck. Got online ordered one and I give it 5 stars. Holds my first aid kit and some snacks along with other small items and 2 water bottles. I've had it to Kessler mt and Slaughter Pen for some 15 mi rides. This will be my go to spring through fall. The balance is good on the tech trails, never know it's there. Great product, you will not be sorry for any Osprey products you purchase. Thanks for the great products.

    My daughter has upper back/shoulder pain so carrying a backpack is very uncomfortable for her. This pack eliminates this issue so she can now hike with us. Holds a lot and has a lot of well-placed compartments. She loves it.

    Great pack when hiking with binoculars

    This is a great pack to use when hiking with binoculars. A traditional backpack's straps interfere with a binoculars harness, making it difficult to remove or adjust either. This waist pack is roomy enough for a long hike - sandwiches, snacks, phone, sunscreen, extra layers, wallet, sunglasses case. And it can fit 2 big nalgene bottles. It's also very comfortable, speaking as a person with a long history of back problems. I love that the waist straps cinch by pulling the tabs forward, rather than away from your body. The only issue is that I have some difficulty accessing the zippered compartments by feel; I often have to remove the pack to undo the zippers (this could be solved by adding a larger zipper pull, such as a caribiner). This pack is advertised as a men's pack, but I am a woman and it fits great.

    I am 5'2" and worried this lumbar pack would outsize me when fully loaded but it didn't disappoint.it fit my water bottle, bear spray in the bottle holders, a down hoodie in the pouch, a toque, a snack in waist belt pouch and an air horn in the opposite waist belt pouch it didn't become burdensome and i have lumbar back issues. I am very happy with it and it negates the need to carry a backpack.
