I am very pleased with Talon backpack overall appreciate the quality and features however I do find it on the large side compared to the Scarab 22 which it replaced same capacity my only real concern is the internal frame which is a bit stiff and rectangular potentially I feel top of frame could have been more rounded I would worry that square corners will eventually wear through in time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Talon 22 is a great pack, built to Osprey’s typical high standards. It’s almost perfect for summer munro-bagging, save for two things. Z poles don’t work well with the pole holding system provided; I’d like to see long pole sleeves instead of bottle pockets on the sides of the pack. There isn’t anywhere to easily stow my iPhone; I’d like to see a zipper pouch added to one of the shoulder straps for this (I have added an aftermarket one, which does the job, but it’s ugly and I’m sure Osprey could do much better).
