Most comfortable long distance hike pack.

I walked 500 miles across the north of Spain with everything I needed in this pack. It was exceptionally comfortable and I can’t recommend it enough if you are walking the Camino de Santiago.

Love it

Excellent pack. It's light enough that if I am hiking and it just using it for water and snacks it's perfect. But I can also pack it full of clothes and whatever I need for a trip. The main compartment is quite large, but it also has many extra pockets and zippers which are perfect for organizing.

So Comortable!

I went from a daypack without load lifters to this little slice of heaven and can honestly say it's been night and day. My posture is better, my shoulders don't hurt, and I can bring an impressive amount of stuff with all the storage this pack boasts. Love Love Love! And not to mention the color is beautiful and vibrant (Violac Purple)

Comfortable and light

I'm doing supported multi day hikes. I need to carry all my gear & water for the day and it's perfect. Comfortable. I like the side pockets on hip belt that fit my phone though I do find the zipper on the side pocket a bit hard to open one handed. It might get better with age and use.

No rain cover

Unfortunate that this pack does not include a rain cover. The water bladder storage is outside of the bag, behind the shoulder straps. I am not so happy about these features or lack of.

Does not carry enough weight

I bought this pack at a store and thought it would be great for day hiking, but I'm going to have to return it. It wasn't clear at the store that this only accommodates 10-20 lbs. Just the water for a long hike will use up a lot of that. I also like to do photography while I hike, and this pack, while physically large enough, cannot support even a days water and food plus camera stuff. I had hoped to use it for work fieldwork as well, but it is definitely not capable of lugging equipment with that weight limitation. It seems most Osprey day packs now have this reduced weight limit (probably fabric/material choices), so I will have to go with a different brand. The frustrating thing is that Osprey's main competitor sells a size 28L that is only 4 oz heavier than this pack but can carry 35 lbs. 4 oz is less than my cellphone. So frustrated these packs have become so limited.

Took this on a 17

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took this on a 17 mile patrol and it is not comfortable. It left bruises on my shoulder blades and very uncomfortable on my hips. I bought it under a pro deal and now I'm stuck with it as it is not returnable under pro deal terms

Backpack is too small and inconvenient

I had high hopes for this bag, but after 6 months of heavy field work use, I cannot recommend it. The back frame and the water bottle holders take up so much space that the internal capacity suffers. I have a Celeste 29 and it holds almost double what I can ti in this supposedly 30L bag. There are only two smaller pockets in the whole bag. Nowhere to put pencils or sunglasses. Pros: - The back frame and its adjustability is nice - Nice water bottle holders that haven't stretched out yet - Stuff area on the front is convenient Cons: - Water bottles take up internal pack room - Not enough pockets! And none are easily accessible (for pencils, first aid) except the front stuff area which is not secure - Does not come with a rain cover - Difficult to access belt pockets when the belt is clipped - If you put anything in the top pocket it's very difficult to zip back up - Top carrying strap annoyingly hides in the frame, and is not comfortable to use
