[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rain cover was a game changer. I put it on my backpack mostly for extra security and to keep my backpack clean while it was tossed in plane and bus luggage holds. Amazingly the cover is still intact and my backpack is still clean.

Impressive!

I've been through a few rain covers over the years and have been happy with the design of this one in particular. It hugs the pack like a glove. Like any low denier nylon care is needed to extend its life. My setup includes a 50l atmos which uses the large size and I'm able to attach my foam pad.

Broke as soon as I first used it

I got this a month ago but it broke as soon as I've put my pack in it and tried lifting it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Colour Not as Described

The packaging says ""Grey"". It's not Grey. It's Green.

Good waterproofness but a little fragile

Used it on some long backpacking trips in multiple countries as well as overnighters here at home. It can resist high patagonian winds and stay on your pack without worrying it will fly, water resistance is good. The downside of it is it tears easily if snagged.

Needs reinforcement

It does it's job well and is super compact, but it really needs some reinforcement on the bottom. A backpacker is always going to set their bag down at times, and the bottom of mine got shredded way too quickly. Granted, I was in rough country up in the Sierras where it's all granite, but it should not have gotten cut up so fast. Be careful when you put it down.

Not a good idea

Obviously quality made like everything Osprey, but it doesn't fit my Atmos 50 if I have anything on the outside of the bag including a sleeping pad or bedroll in the bedroll strap area. Even then, it really only would prevent a light rain from affecting your pack. It's just not a functional idea. Use your money buying and pack liner. Then everything is protected.
