Overall, I really like these shorts and have worn them on a hike up the Manitou Incline. They have the perfect stretch and are very breathable. They're a little shorter than I am used to, but accurate to the description. Fit was spot on. If the front zipper pocket was slightly larger and at least one of the rear pockets was zippered (like the Ferrosi long pants), they'd be a 10.

Why did you mess up a good short? This new design with belt and elastic band is awful! Bring back the original design!!

I own six different pairs of these shorts and they are fantastic. I've worn them rafting, hiking, climbing, biking, and everything else except swimming. They've held up incredibly well.

These barely left my body all summer. There isn't really a single thing they don't do well. Big fan of the zippered pocket on the side, perfect for valuables or things you don't want to sit on. Only criticism is the belt--felt a little redundant given the elastic waist, but didn't get in the way at all.

Love the Ferrosi line, but would change a few things

I love the Ferrosi line from OR, and have owned the jacket, the anorak, and these shorts. I really love the stretch of the material. Overall, these shorts are good but I have noticed a couple of things that are not ideal: one is that the pockets are pretty shallow and high/tight across the top, so it's not as easy to get things in and out of my pockets. Another is that some of the stitching has unraveled and so I'm worried about longer term durability. But they are comfortable for sure.

Same comfortable material as the pants. Also great for traveling. I like the built in belt, that is very easy to use and adjust. Very lightweight and great in hot weather!
