Ultra light jacket that keeps you dry

The OR jacket is exactly as advertised. It is very lightweight, yet it is water resistant and possibly waterproof. I say that because we have only had summer rain showers and I have not been able to wear it long enough to say with certainty that it’s waterproof. I love that it’s so thin, so it doesn’t turn the inside into a sauna on a hot day. Also, the liner lining does NOT stick to you if you do get sweaty.

Great light weight shell!!

Purchased about a month ago, haven't had any inclement weather until a few days ago and all I can say is I'm glad to have this jacket. Performance is great in the rain/wind, kept me completely dry and comfortable. Thought I may get condensation but the fabric is surprisingly breathable, would highly recommend. I'm 6'3" 200lbs and went with the XL, will have room to layer in spring and fall but not baggy with just a tshirt, lengh in arms and back are perfect.

Been very happy

I have had this jacket for some time but had yet to have some good rain or snow to really test it in. On a recent very wet trip to the coast and at home in the snow it has worked like a charm. Great at keeping me dry without condensation inside the jacket.

Excellent Hardshell

I've been using this jacket hiking around PNW, I live in Portland and love using OR gear for my hikes. Packs down fairly small, and I'm very happy with the zipper system. As a tall human (6'4) I often worry about sleeves being long enough, and this jacket didn't disappoint. I loan out OR gear to lots of my friends and they're always happy when they get caught in the rain.

Really enjoy the texture of this jacket for a rain coat. Doesn't feel like a tarp and moves with you. Nice and light weight too.

Typhoon in Japan, no problem!

My wife and I just returned from two weeks in Japan, a late season typhoon was ordered up for us, seriously, this jacket handled without issue. I was dry, the contents of my pockets were dry (except the pocket I forgot to zip!). We were in Nagano, Matsumoto, Kamikochi and Narita, hiking, climbing, moving with baggage from trains to trains. While in the Alps someone in our party forgot an outer layer. I lent them my puffy and I put on the OR as an outer layer, it performed that task well too. I won't denigrate other options, but I've tried many. This one is my favorite.

Great Basic Rain Shell

I have used this jacket mountain biking and spring skiing. It has functioned well. There is nothing fancy about the jacket, which was one of the main reason's I purchased. It sheds water well and is easy to pack. True to size and has held up well the last six months.

Light weight and waterproof. Not super stiff and smooth to touch. Keeps me dry in a deluge.
