I am OBSESSED with this jacket. If you’re looking for something with all the gadgets and gizmos (drawstrings, extra pockets and zippers, etc) this ain’t it. This is a lightweight jacket and those extras have been foregone for the sake of weight savings. However if you’re looking for an ultralight jacket for hiking and backpacking?? Look no further. I’ve worn this in <20 degree weather with just a wind jacket over it, I’ve worn it in 40 degree weather with just an Echo hoodie underneath, I have always been the perfect temperature. If you need ventilation after a climb, I just unzip on top and I’m good to go. Additionally, the fabric makes it easy for my pack to slide on and off which is a nice bonus. It has held up very well and I’m continually impressed by it! As far as I’m concerned this is a 10/10 for backpackers.

The Outdoor Research Women's SuperStrand LT Hoodie is a great jacket. It is packable, lightweight and warm. The unique filling really does help you stay warm when it's wet. The fit and color are as you would expect from OR.

Best jacket ever!!! This is my go to for everyday life, backpacking, day hiking and worn under my ski jacket for extra warmth. I love this jacket. It’s lightweight, packs down small but it’s so warm. It’s made with quality products and holds up to most activities. It does shed some of material from inside like a down jacket but that’s not a big deal for me. The price is right especially if you’re on a budget. Great job OR, I own two and planning on another.

This jacket is super light and easy to pack and carry. I ordered the white one and the only con I would mention is that you can see the stuffing in the coat when you hold it up to the light. The white material looks a little see through in certain lighting. Would highly recommend other than that.

Well made and very light for the warmth. It isn't a winter coat, so keep that in mind. More of a great spring or fall weight puffy or layering piece.
