Platypus QuickDraw + Reservoir Micro Water Filter

It has been great except for the bladder. The bladder started leaking after about 10 uses. The filter flows fast and filters well.

one of the best flow rates you can find. also super easy to backflush.

The product didn’t work right so I had to send it back. The flow rate was not as advertised

I got the QuickDraw micro filter a couple of days ago and the 20 second / litter claim is wrong. Timed it 3 times over two days and it was over a minute / litter. Disapointed.

Filter works great with a smart water bottle except the gasket included can easily be overtightened and fail. Mine compressed and ripped the gasket. Platypus needs to offer a set of replacement gaskets for the water bottle adapter that I can order and keep on hand.

I really wanted to like the Quickdraw. I loved the compact size, the clearly labeled ends/caps and the bottle which neatly wraps around the filter when not in use. Unfortunately, the flow rate was so slow that it made it unusable. It started off with a trickle and got better with time as it became saturated but after 2 weeks of use, the flow rate was close to 10 minutes for a liter of water. Tried cleaning and backflushing to no avail. (Water was from a fast flowing stream in Algonquin.) My partner also had a Quickdraw and his produced well over 1L per minute so we concluded that mine was probably faulty.

Great filler, not heavy at all. Water tastes great and flow is good. I’m currently using it on the Colorado trail.

I ordered this and a second back up filter and both don’t filter at all the water only comes out as a trickle right from first use. I tired soaking it and back flushing and nothing changed. I’m hoping to get a refund or replacements. i can send a video of the flow if you’d like
