It does live up to its cooling claim. I use it under a silk duvet and just leave the duvet covering half of me. I cautiously went with 15 lb vs 20 lb and personally am glad I did. I’m not sure I would have liked the extra weight. Whether it is changing my sleep or not, it is t hurting it and I am slowly removing medication.

Good quality 15lbs of blanket is more than you think. If you're someone with dexterity issues I would avoid the blanket as it can be difficult to manoeuvre.
I will admit though the material is a little uncomfortable feeling.
