This is a warm jacket but doesnt feel heavy. I was concerned it would be a bit bulky because of the puffer style, but it's not. My son is picky about jackets and he hasn't complained at all about this. High praise from a pre-teen! 🤣

This jacket is basically the same as the girls. The only difference is there is no flap covering the zipper and it zips the opposite way. Sizing wise it is the same between the boys jacket and the girls jacket. My daughter says its very warm and loves it!
