The Ripzone Men's Cascade Jacket is the ideal jacket for long days on-hill. The built-in waterproofing and Durable Water Repellent (DWR) fabric are guaranteed to keep you dry as you traverse the slopes. Plus, the sherpa lined interior collar and recycled insulation are guaranteed to keep you warm while you adventure through the winter wonderland.

Have had this jacket in some heavy rain and it repels well and is way better then the Columbia I had that was a few years old and similar style, more pockets and has a cinch at the bottom of the jacket which is always a must for wind and the cuffs have nice liners with thumb holes if you want to pull those out.

Quality isn't good, buy it when heavy discount

I bought this jacket by the end of black Friday when it was 50% off. At first, I really liked this jacket, until the inner skirt button felt off; it was the first time I used that button. Never worn it outside yet, but by having its button already felt off, I don't know how long this jacket would last. If you want a budget-friendly ski & snowboard jacket, you can buy this jacket when it is at least 50% off, preferably 60-70% off, like this boxing day it is 60% off. If this jacket is over 100 CAD, I would add a little bit more money and buy some quality ski & snowboard jackets from brands with good reputations.

Plastic buttons are the worst

I just bought this jacket on Saturday. Today is Tuesday and already two of the plastic snaps have broken on the bib. The metal buttons seem ok, but I will not be unsnapping any more of these plastic snaps. The jacket seems ok, and is warm enough, but after breaking two buttons the very first times I used them, I can say the quality is lacking on this jacket.

Great Jacket but.

Great jacket , loved till that day that was torn under my armpit after just 2 weeks having it on, I had it on when walking out the dog barely doing any sudden movement just walking. Material is not strong enough for that ? I am confident many of you reading this should be asking same question, honestly just seeing a picture of one posted and I went oh my...I t is identical to my defect. Really poor quality. Ripzone , you ripped my heart. I hope this review find it to you and looking forward to hearing from you if you really stand for your product. Thanks

Poor Quality Jacket

If I could give zero stars I would. Bought this jacket and less than 3 weeks after it already ripped on the corner of a plastic display case. Sportchek does not seem to think this is a quality issue and will not return the jacket. I was under the assumption this was a snowboarding jacket meant for the mountains but clearly it wouldn’t last a day in those conditions. Very disappointed with the thin materials and poor quality and extremely disappointed with sportchek not taking any accountability for the poor product. Will not be purchasing from sportchek again in the future.
