very small. small didnt fit and the large also seems to be the same size. my 5 yr old with regular head size cant even get this to slide on her head. too bad as we have the matching snow pants, jacket and reversible light jacket too and she was excited.

The large fit 4 year olds head perfectly, not sure it will fit in a year but for the price it’s fine. Really really wish it had straps for under chin, removed stars on that because that’s a big one for hats for young kids. Great to have for the ever changing weather, I would buy it again for the current sales price but not sure I would at full price.
