elastic band does not fully extend

Shorts are nice, however the elastic band does not fully extend. My wife had to go a size up to get them over he hips. Unfortunately, it was a size up and they did not fit as well as her base size.

Love these! Ordered a size up because I wanted a loose fit but wish I had stayed with my regular size as they get a little loose as you wear them. I still love them though. I just tighten the string at the waist.
