Less storage than the previous version.

I thought i was ordering an identical replacement for my previous Active Skin 12 which had been amazing for the past 5 years, Unfortunately some of the key features on the previous Active Skin 12 have now been deleted. The biggest downside to this new version is there is now dramatically less storage pockets than before especially the long pocket that went all around the waist area across the back that could be accessed from both sides via the side pockets which are now also gone.

Solid and comfortable companion

I have used the Active Skin 12 now for over a year and it has been a solid a comfortable companion and several tough mountain runs as well as more causal trail runs. The storage capacity is great for what I need (nutrition, hydration, extra clothing, etc). I have used the vest in combination with the custom quiver for my poles and the combo is great (note that with the Active Skin 12 you can only fix your quiver on one side i.e. right shoulder strap). All in all very happy with the vest!

Great for long distance running and races

I absolutely love this vest. I got it for races and long distance running and it’s become a staple. I don’t have to bag check my items at a race because the backpack portion of my vest carries everything smoothly and evenly distributes the weight. I’ve carried only my headphone case in the backpack without feeling it move once during my races. The only downfall is I do chafe if parts of the vest are touching my skin during long runs so I have to make sure I wear a full tshirt under the vest, especially on long runs

A great basic vest option

I have ran an ultra distance and this held up. the material is not smooth like their newer versions and I think this would be my next purchase. (The ADV Skin 12 Gradient). My only disappointment was that I lost one of the strap clips in the washing machine and had to order a full strap and clip set to replace it. Other than that I would recommend this to new trail runners.

Phenomenal running vest

I was looking for a vest for my 20-miler and. next trail race. This vest has completely changed my long runs and I look forward to my long runs with this vest now. Flasks were a little rough to get used to, but that was more of a user error than design flaw.

I wore out my last vest and had to buy a new one. I've been trail running in this vest for about a month now. and I like the fit, it doesn't move around. Training for a 50 K and I think this should hold all my requirements.
