Nice skis to learn on

Not the fastest skis I’ve ever seen (even after a few coats of glide wax), but seem to grip well enough for my boyfriend to learn on. Easy enough to control too. A decent beginner ski.

Skins are not as good as the industry says

Don’t be fooled thinking you pay more the ski will be better. The Solomon escape 6 skin skis are much cheaper and offer the same performance. I thought I’d pay for a better ski but there is no difference. The binding is also the cheaper version and is not adjustable which is even more critical with skin skis to not only balance the ski on your feet but the balance between drag and glide. You can’t do that with these skis. I came from a waxable ski wanting less maintenance but skin skis are slower for sure do not be fooled by the newest talk around skis. Skins are like sking on grass at times the drag you can feel all the time compared to a waxable ski. These skis are better suited for those who don’t care about speed or performance but rather just want to grab and go. I did but swix boost to apply to the skins to help with better glide. It’s better but not perfect like a wax ski.
