    Very good training shoe

Heard good things about the shoe but had never owned a salomon product before. After 50km of running my experience is a follows: Midsole/Outsole -Great training midsole that retains compliance for well over and hour even in -20 degree weather and below. -Traction is also good on snow and ice. Have not felt the need for spikes. -Perfect blend of firmness, cushion, and rebound that allows you to lock into your desired pace. Upper -Very good lacing system and tongue that allows a tight lock down without hotspots. -Upper seems thick but is surprisingly breathable although extensive padding around ankle collar might be a magnet for sweat and moisture in general. Ankle padding feels overdone when I put on the shoe but feeling goes away when running. -Sizing is interesting. I purchased the size 10 which feels looser than I'm used to, however, sizing down to my usual 9.5 felt like a completely different shoe as my midfoot and toes were crushed. I have a higher volume foot that is more square in shape so your experience may vary. -Very smooth material inside the upper which may contribute to the loose fitting experience. -Ortholite insole is paper thin which isn't a big problem given the compliance of the foam, but replacing this insole with one from my other runners improved the comfort and the tightened up the fit. Overall a very good shoe with the midsole and low weight being the highlight for me. Upper limitations aren't a deal breaker for me.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

The Aero Glide 3 Grvl is one of the most comfortable and light weighted shoe I’ve ever owned. It glides with the pavement and contours my feet making every step feel effortless. I’m getting another pair!!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

The AeroGlide 3 GRVL edition has a super comfy step in feel with a perfectly dialed in upper. The foam is a real goldilocks champ, striking a balance between cushioned and responsive. The tread is plenty capable on light to moderate gravel/dirt/trail roads but not so aggressive that it becomes bothersome on paved roads. After a few hundred training miles, mine will soon be retired to my casual rotation and I couldn't be any happier about it!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

The built in sock tongue is soo comfy, and the shoes just roll so smoothly with how I walk! It's like they're barely even there with how smooth I walk on uneven surfaces! I sought out an amazing pair of yellow shoes, and Salomon delivered.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Best shoe brand I've tried so far

Over the last few years I've been trying all of the different shoe brands, Nike, Asics, on. Hoka, puma, all birds, Adidas, saucony new balance and a few more and then ranking them on a few weighted categories including price, and despite being maybe the most expensive pair I've gotten due to a lack of a good sale, these Salomon Aero glide 3 gravels have sprung to the top of the list. They are really comfortable, have a fun bounce with cushioning but also energy return, and I appreciate the great grip. Also I like gusseted tongues. Only negatives is I can't turn sharply when running, and they do run a little long. I think they are worth a shot, and would get these over the non gravel version (like I did). Very happy with them.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
