it is super comfort, super warm, stylish... and excellent. However, because of the closed space in the shoe and the fact that it is very hot, the foot sweats in it, and even though I wash my socks and my feet daily, the shoe starts to smell in a short time. If I were the company, I would think creatively about this issue.

I thought these looked really nice for Solomons. My husband is into this brand. I wanted to twin him. However I got the boots liked them. The first time I wore them out we just got some snow not a lot but my feet stay cold (toe area) and damp. I had to wear two pairs of socks the second pair thicker then the other and that is the only way my feet stayed warm. I honestly don't want them.

I have had 2 winter seasons in these, I use them for walking the dog on the golf course, when the snow is deep I use short gaiters. I I use them for snowshoeing and they are my primary footwear for when it is cold and snowy during ski season. They are comfortable, quite warm, waterproof and the soles have worn fairly well. I am in my last season with them, I just build up the heel with pieces of running shoe sole attached with ShoeGoo. The inside of the boot is separate from the sides and bottom, a bit like a bladder. When they were new this interior was attached to rest of the boot with some sort of adhesive but it gave way pretty quickly. This did not affect the performance of the boot but now they squeak and this is made worse by the Superfeet footbeds I use. The silicone spray I used did not help at all and I will not buy another pair.

I bought these she’s to wear on our trip to Germany. They are comfortable and keep my feet dry and warm. I walked in snow and my feet didn’t get wet or cold.

Very comfortable shoes. About as light weight and comfortable as a winter boot as you'll find. Fits and feels like a standard trail hiker but with added insulation. I use these for winter hikes and wintertime disc golf. I would like to note though that these are made for speed/comfort and lightweight in mind - if you're looking for a winter shoe to hike, walk the dogs in the snow in or around the city, this is the perfect shoe for you. However, if you're spending all day long outside doing heavy duty labor in frigid temperatures, I would advise to get a more heavy duty winter boot, as these are Salomons more lightweight/less insulated winter shoes.
