Trail shoe for winter

Off-road grip on these is legendary and the comfort is great. I have narrow and low volume foot so it's a challenge to find secure fitting shoes. I am able to get these to fit pretty well once cinched down properly, but that is not an easy task with the very thin and slick quick laces. Sizing on my pair runs longer than usual so I'm sure the fit will be even better if I went down half a size. Like the widely spaced lugs that don't pick up much dirt, and the ground feel despite the tall lugs. However the heel although stable it feels dead. Could do with slightly less height and more responsive cushioning. Will see how long the waterproofing holds up.

Best for daily hiking and when light but grippy and water proof is needed. The rubber is soft and the shoes are comfortable. Perfect for north shore vancouver hiking.

Over the years I've bought five pairs of these shoes. I did make the mistake one time of not buying the Gore-Tex and they still did pretty well for keeping my feet dry. I wish I had about two pairs last time however cuz my size is sold out right now. If you can find them in your size, buy them while you can.

Excellent grip, run hot and very sweaty over 10km

I am on my 4th pair of speedcross 6 runners and my second time with gore-tex ones. Love the grip the colors and the feel while running. amazing overall trail shoe. Great for any terrain on the trail. I live in Newfounland and have a wide variety of terrain to cover from smooth groomed trails to straight mountains running through animal trails. I have started training longer runs in preparation for my first 50km race. I have found that once I start running over 10-12km the Gore-tex isn't breathable enough to allow heat out. After 18km my feet end up looking like they were kept in a hot tub nonstop for 2hrs, and developing hot spots under my big toes. Something I hadn't experienced before. Overall love the shoe but the Heat and water retention make me regret getting Gore-tex.

Second pair, absolutely the best. I wear a 13 in hiking boots with a normal width, fit is spot on. used the other pair in the ADK mountains and if you know its normally muddy and rocky. The tread works fantastic, excellent grip on wet slimy granite. Lightweight, but robust and give you a great feel of the surface without being too soft in the arch. Even Goose approved too!!!
