Got my first pair of Speedcross on a whim in Breckenridge, CO about 17 years ago. Wow! Grip, support, and sole that keeps those periodic pointy rocks from bruising the bottom of my feet have kept me coming back. I live in the PNW so go Gore-Tex at all times. By far my favorite shoes for trails and the weird stuff you have to step over in the streets of Seattle

Love the look

I wore out my Speedcross 5 and loved them because they fit my skinny feet perfectly! I ordered the Speedcross 6 because I thought the idea of Gortex would make the shoes even better. However, the Speedcross 6 is wider and I have to cinch them down so much that the top of the shoe at the toe is all bunched up like most shoes that are too wide. So I don’t recommend these for people with narrow feet.

Serious grip and comfort on the trail

This is my second pair. Both pairs provided excellent comfort on a daily basis. I am outdoor educator and I am in the ravine everyday. The Speedcross 6 GTX provided excellent grip for both steep inclines and declines. The waterproofness was excellent. I wear them from early spring until late autumn. With a pair of merino wool socks my feet stayed warm until I really needed winter boots. Like any shoe, the grip wears away after about 14 months (if worn daily & depending on your gait). I started in 2023 and I am now looking for my next pair. Miigwech

Hiking for the first time in Bozeman, I bought 2 brand new pairs of speedcross hiking shoes. We started w a 7 mile hike to lave lake and my son and I were both super pleased with our new Solomons

Bought to replace my Gortex Speedcross 3’s, as My 1shoe does it all pair, which finally wore through, more roomy/less tight foot cavity so i wear thicker socks. Feels Great and is lighter on the foot, overall material seems less abrasion resistant.. only time will tell
