Salomon Men's Speedcross 6 Running Shoes

I've been purchasing Speedcross ever since I discovered Salomon over 10yrs ago. I've tried other styles and am never as satisfied as I am with this particular model. The fit, support & look is perfection. I use these for both indoor/outdoor workouts and streetstyle/casual wear.

I have been running in these shoes for 8 months now. Mostly gravel trails and fields and the only wear on them is the tread and even that is minimal. I have wide feet and they are comfortable even getting up to the half marathon distance.

I got these for a replacement pair so far so good and the support and warranty was easy.

Used Speedcross since the first gen for hiking and backpacking. Recently got the Speedcross 6, and they are just not the same as they used to be. It seems they changed the toe box or sizing because I have worn the same size and the new Speedcross 6 gave me hematomas on my toes on only a 26 mile backpacking trip. Even before that, I had only done ~40-50 miles of day hiking in them with massive blisters all over the foot (especially heels) a never had this problem before. Also, the sides the lacing runs through have delaminated from the upper. I’m wondering, what PE firm bought Salomon in the last couple of years? I used to tell everyone these were the best, and they used to be. Now? 👎 👎 do NOT recommend - will be telling people this too! Very disappointing (and painful)!

I saw someone wearing a pair of these on the subway and wasn't surprised, from their sleek, slightly unusual look, to find that they were Salomons. Fortunately the name of the shoes (SpeedCross 6) was written on them, and I quickly found them online. I'm so pleased with these shoes! They stand out from the sneakers everyone else is wearing in a cool, modern way. I especially like the thin, toggled laces and the soft shape of the shoe, which suggests a combination of wet suit and a Formula 1 driver's shoe. The light grey color goes with anything, but really sets off the black clothes I usually wear. Fit and walking comfort are near perfection, too. I'll probably buy another pair of these in a different color.

I have been trail running in Speedcross for years, Speedcross 4, 5 and now 6. The Speedcross 6 are the best iteration to date. They are light, grippy and extremely comfortable. Love these shoes, will be buying again and again.
