Love these boots

This is my second pair of this model after several years of hiking with the first pair. Waterproof, breathable, light weight and good traction. I find them useful for all seasons. Only con might be a thinner sole but still very supportive.

Bought these to replace my old Salomon ultra 3's that lasted 4 years and many miles. Love this brand, no breaking period for me. Comfortable, waterproof and breathable. I use them all 4 seasons without any issues. I'll always be a Salomon ultra hiking user!

As a novice outdoorsy guy, I won a free pair in 2008 at HTO in northern, VA. Right time, right place! I’ve not worn any other brand since . . . Salomon is the best hiking shoe, period. The new changes are amazing. It strikes the right balance of effectiveness while maintaining the comfort I expect from Salomon. In sum, 17 years later I’m still rocking with Salomon. That should say it all!

Superb, durable, light comfortable shoe

The title says it all. I used to buy the Keen Targhee until they started using poor materials and craftsmanship in the past 10 years resulting in shoes falling apart in short order after their purchase. The X Ultra's have filled the void for me. They are very light, comfortable and durable. When the first thing that wears out after hard use is the soles that tells you that you have a superior product. Thank you Salomon!
