Nice shoe, short lifespan

The shoes fit nicely and are great for an everyday shoe for my lifestyle, but the tread wears down fast (around 5 months) they probably cheaped out on materials.

Suspected Poor Design

While these shoes seemed comfortable, light-weight, reasonably durable at a decent price point. They've turned out to be the worst shoes I've ever had.
Why? These shoes created extreme blistering on the tops of my left foot. Naturally, one would suspect the sizing was wrong, but I don't think that's the case. My hypothesis? The "Toe-Guard" also called the "To-Cap & Rand" is made of hard rubber and it's this very It's this very spot in the shoe that rubs against the top of my feet. Having tried to remedy the problem by wearing an extra sock, Band-Aids and tape, I've opted to abandon the shoe. all together and will donate to the local thrift shop. Having done a bit more desktop research I've discovered many of Solomon's trail shoes & hiking boots have the exact same toe-guard design.
Solomon Canada customer service was pleasant but useless. And I've missed the 30 day return window at SportChek, so that's on me.
Perhaps it's my feet. Perhaps it is a sizing issue. But, I'd highly recommend you have a keen eye for this feature when purchasing or immediately thereafter. Good luck.

Worth the money

These shoes are high quality, waterproof, have excellent grip and I love the easy laces. I buy and own a lot of shoes, but I wear these Salomon’s 90% of the time.
P.s. I have never given a crap enough to waste my time writing a review… but honestly the shoes are THAT good!

Garbage shoes tarnished a good name.

I bought these 1 yr ago and the sole is separating from the shoe with minimal mileage on them. The quick lace system has broken twice. These shoes are garbage.
