Comfortable But Goretex Lacking

One of my favorites from Salomon as of recently. Great multipurpose sneaker. Only gripe is the Goretex seems to wear off relatively fast. Leather material could be the cause so I’d go with a synthetic gortex upper for water proof longevity

different fit - wider and slightly shorter

I bought it because of good reviews and decided to return because of the different fit. Usually I wear men's 11.5 US size and it was slightly on the smaller side - length-wise. I feel it is wider than Ultra 3 GTX and Elixir Tour. I did not wear it outside, but the general feeling is that the sole is more rubbery and more sensitive underneath in the front area. Quality at the first glance was good, but the heel padding was thicker, more like MOAB-style.

Great Hiking Shoe

I bought these for my trip to Oregon in the spring . Most of my hikes were really wet and middle. These shoes did great especially with the GORTEX. Sturdy, comfortable, and reliable.

I have been wearing Salomon for the last 12 years. These are superior for general use to the Forces series in my opinion. Whether at the gun range, hiking, or simply walking the dog, these really stood up this season.

month in, standing up on par with non leather gortex, as waterproof so far. hoping the leather allows more flex on the sides, about 4 inches from the toe where every boot/sneaker fails, Soloman usually doesn't give out till 1.5 years , I run all footwear through the paces, pun intended. 8 months for footwear is usually the standard for good footwear for me including work boots, I wear mine horseback riding, hunting, fishing, hiking, sports, farming. blood stains fade fast. the gortex line usually lasts 1.5 to 2 years before fatigue finally beats the quality. have 7 people converted so far and are mad whenever there in regular shoes cause they don't compare, unless you're dancing then they're far to grippy.
